U.S. Embassy Finland supports a variety of projects through its Small Grants Program, which is designed to support non-profit organizations in the implementation of programs advancing U.S.-Finnish relations.
Themes
The U.S. Embassy in Finland is particularly, but not exclusively, interested in proposals focused on the following themes:
- Strengthening the Transatlantic relationship
- Addressing media literacy and critical thinking in the age of disinformation
- Countering malign influence and increasing resilience to hybrid threats
- Promoting human rights
- Increasing cooperation between Arctic states and communities.
- Increasing collaboration and exchange between American and Finnish students and teachers
- Empowering youth and engaging diverse Finnish populations
- Increasing interest in entrepreneurism and STEM/STEAM among youth
Funding Information
Funding ranging from $2,000 to $20,000 will be considered.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grants are awarded to non-profit organizations and institutions focusing on Finnish audiences.
- Organizations are limited to one proposal.
- Project proposals must be submitted in English, budgeted to U.S. dollar amounts.
