The Australian Ethical is currently inviting applications for its Community Grants program with an aim to provide financial help to organizations making a positive difference in the world.
The Community Grants are distributed via their charitable foundation, the Australian Ethical Foundation Ltd.
Focus Areas
Australian-based organizations that focus on work in Australia or overseas in one or more of the following areas:
- People
- Planet
- Animals
Funding Information
- Grants are for $5,000, $10,000, and $20,000.
- Preference is for the grant money to be spent within one year of receipt.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications from not-for-profit organizations and registered charities based in Australia.
- Organizations working for a charitable purpose for the benefit of people, animals, and/or the planet in Australia or internationally are encouraged to apply.
- New and emerging or small not-for-profit groups are eligible to apply as long as they have an Australian Business Number (ABN), a constitution, and an Australian bank account.
- Applications from organizations that focus on people who are experiencing extreme levels of distress, disadvantage, vulnerability, or poverty within their community or family. Initiatives led by vulnerable people themselves are especially welcome.
