The United Way of Jamaica (UWJ) is proud to announce the call for proposals for its Grant Funding Programme.
By providing grant funding, UWJ supports the work of NGOs, community-based organisations, and schools that seek to aid in the mission of transforming lives across Jamaica.
Funding Information
- The maximum grant amount per project is JM$500,000.00. All UWJ funds are to be used for approved project- related costs only.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be considered for grant funding, all project proposals submitted to UWJ must:
- Be from registered Non-Government Organisations (NGO), Community-Based Organisations (CBO), and schools (or be recognised by a registered entity) in any of the following parishes within Jamaica:
- Westmoreland
- Portland
- St. Mary
- St. Thomas
- St. Elizabeth
- Demonstrate how the proposed project would have an impact in any of UWJ’s impact areas of Educational Opportunity, Health & Humanity, and Financial Security.
- Must be within the funding threshold of JM$500,00.00 or be able to demonstrate proof of additional source of funding.
- All project activities must start by October 1, 2024, and should end by May 31, 2025. A technical narrative report and financial report are to be submitted by end of June 2025.
- Be from registered Non-Government Organisations (NGO), Community-Based Organisations (CBO), and schools (or be recognised by a registered entity) in any of the following parishes within Jamaica:
