The Minority Rights Group is accepting applications from Egyptian diaspora organizations for Advocacy Grants to amplify voices and increase attention and amplify the voices of religious, ethnic and gender minorities in Egypt as well as mainstream minority rights in non-minority organizations.
The grants aim to enhance international advocacy efforts for minority rights.
Initiatives that leverage intersectional approaches, data management, and sustainable advocacy strategies to drive change are encouraged to apply. This initiative encourages collaboration between diverse organizations and individuals to address social inequalities, enhance advocacy efforts, and amplify underrepresented voices.
Funding Information
- For organizations: 10,000 euros
- For initiatives and small groups: 4,000 euros
Duration
- Timeline: The duration of the grant may last a maximum of 9 months.

Eligible Activities
- Examples of activities this grant will cover:
- Advocacy for minority rights through international advocacy initiatives.
- Public awareness campaigns using media and other outreach efforts to engage the wider public.
- Documentation, monitoring, and reporting on issues affecting minority communities.
- A component on international advocacy is required for this grant.
Eligibility Criteria
- Civil society organizations, NGOs, small groups of activists, think tanks, research centers, and advocacy groups working in part or entirely outside Egypt. Organizations registered abroad but operating entirely in Egypt are not eligible.
- Organizations must be able to receive funding.
- Must have noticeable experience in financial and narrative reports development and M&E.
