The Ananya Birla Foundation (ABF) is inviting applications for projects aimed at enhancing rural women’s participation in the workforce and improving mental healthcare for vulnerable populations.
At Ananya Birla Foundation (ABF), the grant programs are thoughtfully designed to address critical social issues in low-resource settings by promoting innovative and scalable community-first models. They recognize the importance of on-ground partnerships among diverse stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of interventions and they prioritise equipping the grant partners with tools and resources for tangible impact and sustainable success.
Priority Areas
- In this grant cycle, they aim to address two pressing societal issues:
- Promoting sustainable livelihoods and entrepreneurship support for rural women.
- Access to mental healthcare for vulnerable populations.
Funding Information
- Each program is eligible for receiving a maximum grant of ₹1.2 crores or up to 25% of the organisation’s annual budget, whichever amount is lower.
ABF’s Geographical Priority
- For this grant cycle, the priority regions include:
- Maharashtra
- Karnataka
- North-eastern states of India.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for the grant program, organisations must meet the following criteria:
- Must be registered under trust, society, or Section-8 non-profit organisations in India.
- Possess valid 12A, 80G, and CSR registrations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to addressing social challenges with a preferable presence in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and the North-eastern states of India.
- The Foundation strives to be responsive to the needs of all eligible organizations.
- Grant applications are accepted throughout the year.
- Applicants will be notified whether their grant request has been approved within two (2) months of appplication.
- Each organization is limited to one application within a twelve-month period.
Ineligible
- They do not make grants or loans to individuals.
- They do not make loans or investments to private businesses.
- They do not fund political activities.
- They do not fund religious activities or programs serving specific religious groups or denominations. However, faith-based organizations may submit grant applications if a project falls within the areas of interest.
