Applications are open for British Council Higher Education Links grants to provide small-scale seed funding for high quality collaborations between the UK Institutions and Mexican Universities and other Higher Education Institutions to:
- Coordinate a workshop to be carried out in Mexico with the aim of developing a joint proposal that will help Higher Education Institutions to expand their role as platform for regional development with a global focus.
- Deliver an innovative and replicable final proposal to be implemented at a regional level, enabling engagement from the wider economic or social development regional actors.
By strengthen partnerships between Mexico and the United Kingdom, this program seeks to facilitate the implementation of long-term projects for academic programme improvement, or any other initiatives to enhance the Mexican Higher Education Institutions strategy. Joining forces with government institutions, the private sector and the third sector, Higher Education Links supports the integration of Mexican Higher Education Institutions in a regional development agenda within a global context.
Funding Information
Grants range up to £10,000 to develop a proposal of a collaborative project in Mexico.
Eligibility Criteria
Proposals must include one applicant from the UK and one applicant from Mexico.
- Mexican applicants must be based at a not-for-profit Higher Education Institution with a record as a regional development promoter agent, including Universities and Research Centres.
- UK applicants must be based at a not-for-profit Institution with a record as an international development promoter agent, including: Universities, Research Centres, Public Offices and NGOs.
