Deadline: 1 November 2016
Comic Relief, together with Paul Hamlyn Foundation, has launched its UK Tech for Good funding programme, providing grants to 10 digital projects to enable access to expert support.
This programme aims to provide the opportunity for not-for-profit organisations who already have some technological capacity to take their digital innovation projects forward. We are looking to fund teams to make a significant digital step forward within four months.
Programme Priorities
The projects will last for four months (April – July 2017) and will address any of our four programme areas:
- Empowering Women and Girls,
- Investing in Children and Young People,
- Building Stronger Communities,
- Improving Health and Wellbeing.
Objectives
A wide range of digital interventions will be considered and the aim is to fund projects that:
- Are focused on specific user needs in their design, delivery and development
- Make best use of web, mobile or internet based technologies
- Can scale effectively and offer economies of scale
- Disrupt and challenge existing ways of delivering services
Grants and Duration
- Grants are available of up to £46,500 (minimum £15,000) over four months to deliver the project to a phase that demonstrates digital innovation for the benefit of society, or the specific service users the not-for-profit organisation is targeting.
- The successful applicants will be provided with an additional £3,500 to buy in external specialist support (mentoring) that will be determined in part by our mentoring co-ordinator.
