Community Matters is seeking Applications for the Community Leadership Fund with an aim to help strengthen leadership and capability across the community and voluntary sector.
This Fund provides government grants to not-for-profit organisations with a national focus, whose primary role is to provide leadership and build capability:
- across the whole community and voluntary sector, or
- within a specific interest area of the community and voluntary sector.
Outcomes
Grants are made to organisations whose requests show how they will achieve and measure these outcomes:
- leadership and capability across the sector is strengthened
- collaboration and connection across the sector is strengthened
- social enterprise is fostered
- volunteering is supported
- community-led development is supported and enabled.
What will be funded?
The Fund will invest in requests that:
- contribute to achieving this Fund’s aims and outcomes, and
- align with the priorities of:
- supporting collaboration and connection across the sector
- social enterprise
- volunteering
- community-led development.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for multi-year funding, community organisations need to meet general Community Leadership Fund (CLF) criteria plus specific multi-year funding criteria. An organisation must:
- have been established for at least two years
- demonstrate a good grant management history (with the Department and/or other funders)
- have evidence of good governance and management systems
- have experience in, or can demonstrate experience in running a similar service/activity or project for which funding is requested
- be a legal entity if the application is in excess of $10k for any one year.
