Transparency International is currently inviting applications from civil society organizations (CSOs) in Turkey to participate in a new initiative aimed at combating corruption using political integrity data.
The central goal of this project is to empower citizens and civil society actors to hold political officeholders accountable. By encouraging greater transparency, the initiative aims to strengthen democratic practices and reinforce public trust in governance.
The program will focus on addressing three major corruption challenges that are particularly pressing in Turkey and the surrounding region. These include the lack of transparency in political financing, the undue influence of special interest groups on legislative processes, and widespread nepotism in public procurement systems.
Organizations can submit proposals for projects with a minimum budget of €4,000 and a maximum of €12,000. Each funded project should run for a duration of at least four months and no more than six months.
Only non-profit, non-governmental organizations that are legally registered in Türkiye are eligible to apply. Applicants must also have been legally established for at least three years prior to the announcement of this call.
Proposals are expected to present innovative approaches that leverage public data to uncover and address political corruption. Projects should focus on advocating for transparency, promoting accountability, and fostering integrity across political and administrative institutions.
