Applications are now open for the Direct Aid Small Grants Program to support projects with a strong developmental focus that complement Australia’s broader aid program.
DAP supports projects with a strong development focus which contributes to sustainable economic growth and improved living conditions.
Funding Information
- Funding limit for DAP funding contribution on the project is up to a maximum of USD $20,000.00.
Eligibility Criteria
- DAP is able to fund projects that have a direct, practical and immediate impact on the community.
- Favourable consideration will be provided to projects:
- in the areas of community and/or rural development, education, gender equality, health and disability, sport, youth, human rights, the environment, small scale infrastructure, economic empowerment, agriculture and ad hoc humanitarian relief;
- where applicants and/or communities make a contribution in labour materials, transport or cash;
- pursue innovative approaches, projects and partners;
- that are achievable and have sustainable outcomes; and/or
- that provide educational or occupational/skills training and have a clear plan for measuring the success of training
Ineligibility Criteria
- DAP funding is available to not-for-profit individuals, community groups, non-government organisations (NGOs) and other entities engaged in development activities in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).
