The Te Mātāwai is accepting applications for the Investment Programme to support Māori language revitalisation efforts within whānau, community and iwi.
What they invest in?
- Investment plans and priorities are set by the eight Kāhui and contribute towards achieving the priority outcomes:
- Tukuihotanga – Deliberate intergenerational transmission
- Hononga Hapori Reo – Connected language speaker communities
- These outcomes will be driven by:
- Mana Motuhake – Authority
- Toitūtanga – Sustainability & Continuity
- Pae Motuhake, representing iwi and Māori interests, develop the investment plan and key priorities for each kāhui, and make recommendations to the Board of Te Mātāwai for approval.
Eligibility Criteria
- You can register as an individual.
- You can also register as a business, an organisation, a charity, or a trust (charitable, land, marae, iwi, whānau). However, you must be registered with the New Zealand Companies Office or The Charities Services.
