The German Federal Ministry for Education and Research and the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) have jointly announced a Minerva Short-Term Research Grants (MRG) in order to give young German and Israeli scientists the opportunity to visit research partners or to establish contacts with scientists in the respective guest country.
The grants also allow the scientists to participate in seminars and workshops, particularly as guest speakers. The short-term grants are for stays of a minimum of 1 week and up to 8 weeks.
Grant Information
- Graduate Students: EUR 300/week
- Postdocs: EUR 425/week
- Flights are covered by a lump sum of up to EUR 700.00.
Eligibility Criteria
- MRG are available for all subject areas and are open to applicants from all research facilities (in Israel – public or governmental research institutes) and universities in Germany and Israel.
- Applicants should not be older than 38 years. (Maternal leave will be taken into account with regard to the age limit).
- Scientists presently holding a Minerva Fellowship are not eligible to apply. In addition, principal investigators in projects within the BMBF- MOST programs are not eligible to apply.
