Applicants are encouraged to apply for the TCEF grant program, implemented in cooperation with Support Foundation for Civil Society in order to financially support the work of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) actively operating on nature, biodiversity, marine and coastal protection.
In the 2024 period, the fund will support projects of NGOs working to protect, improve and renew the natural environment in the southern or western coastal regions of Turkey.
Priority Areas
- Projects that promote sustainable food systems:
- Projects that reflect the future of food systems by protecting, maintaining and rebuilding the existing food-agriculture bond will be evaluated under this heading. The projects to be supported under this heading will be expected to develop a holistic approach, such as taking into account and managing all impacts of regenerative agriculture strategies and food production systems.
- Projects with an ecosystem-based management approach to protect biodiversity:
- Innovative approaches that promote holistic, intersectoral, local to national, transparent, adaptable, inclusive and participatory management of coastal use, including projects addressing terrestrial and marine biodiversity, small-scale fisheries and other resources, will be evaluated under this heading.
- Projects aiming to support and strengthen legally and institutionally NGOs working in the field of conservation:
- Projects aimed at strengthening the capacities of local organizations in various thematic areas will be supported, including advocacy, networking and developing the ability to access accurate data and information within the relevant areas in which they wish to mobilize conservation action.
Funding Information
- The total amount of grants to be distributed to NGOs within the scope of TCEF is at least 1,400,000 TL. Applicant NGOs can request a maximum of 450,000 TL from the grant program.
Eligibility Criteria
- Associations, foundations, cooperatives and other non-profit organizations established in Turkey,
- Organizations that have been actively working in the field for at least one year,
- Organizations with 2023 revenues below 4,000,000 TL,
- Organizations with experience, institutional capacity and vision in the relevant field.
