The Toyota Foundation is currently inviting applications for its Toyota Environmental Activities Grant Program with an aim to support project activities by any private nonprofit organizations or groups (except any schools).
The areas of themes applied for this grant should be on “Biodiversity Conservation” or “Global Warming Countermeasures”. Followed by the previous year.

Eligibility Criteria
- International Project Grants
- Appropriateness of the project: The projects that lead to “Biodiversity Conservation” or “Global Warming Countermeasures”.
- Efficiency of the project : The project should raise environmental awareness and promote concrete environmental actions.
- The project should account for either a wide range of participation, leadership development, or localization of environmentally-sound technologies and systems in wide areas.
- Cost-effectiveness of the project: The project should be planned to make greatest achievements with minimum expense.
- Continuity and future development of the project: The project should result in continuing environmental educational activities and experience-based learning, creating/providing opportunities for such activities, and localization of experiment-based environmental technologies at the community level even after completion.
- The project should encourage participants to remain active in relevant areas after completion.
- Collaboration among participants: The project should enable the participation of diversified groups on the same footage and facilitate a mutual learning process.
- The project should fully consider local contexts and the needs of the project implementation site, such as natural environment, geography, culture, economy, community and history.
- Qualification of the implementing organization: The project members should include expertise and experiences associated with the project so that it duly achieves its goals.
- The project implementer should have the participation of environmentally-oriented local residents, practitioners and researchers in the project and build strategic alliance among the participants.
- Funding sources: The project should be implemented with the fund from Toyota Environmental Activities Grant Program, and with the self-fund as a supplement, if necessary.
- The projects should offer a balanced budget plan in all expenses items to achieve effective results.

- The proposed projects that involve practical community-based participatory actions for the protection of local environment.

- Continuity and future development of the project: The projects should continue to be further developed even after completion.
