European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA) Skopje invites formal and informal youth groups/ operating in the territory of municipality of Centar and Kavadarci to submit applications for local youth initiatives.
The main objective of this call for proposals is to improve the participation and involvement of young people at local level and to contribute to creating an environment of inclusion and activation of youth in local communities in the Western Balkans.
The goal of the theme, “Local Fund for Youth” is to provide financial support for proposals that will encourage youth participation in various forms.
Each year a different priority theme determines which increases the value of the proposal if it focuses on it. Priority topic for the call is from 2017: Cultural participation of young
Expected Outcomes
- Strengthening the capacity of young people (informal youth groups and youth associations) for active citizen participation at the local level, especially in the processes of cultural participation);
- Increased exposure of youth in cultural processes and utilizing creative tools, particularly for young people with less opportunities;
- Increased focus on public authorities to the needs of young people and to establish greater megjusektorna cooperation in promoting youth articipation.
Activity Areas
Activities that can be supported under this call:
- Activities for capacity building of youth and social inclusion of marginalized youth groups;
- Activities that promote dialogue between young people and local institutions and / or local authorities;
- Activities that support the improvement of youth participation in the implementation of local policies for social and economic development and culture.
- Activities that promote partnerships between the cultural and creative sector, youth organizations and youth workers;
- Activities that promote knowledge about culture and cultural heritage;
- Activities that support the development of creativity among young people;
- Activities that increase the access of young people to culture and creative tools at the local level
- Activities that support the promotion of human / minority rights in local communities, intercultural dialogue and understanding.
Type of Activities
- Building local capacity and activities to raise awareness to support the participation of young people;
- Organizing local public events, workshops and seminars;
- Conducting local research and surveys;
- Creation of cultural products that promote youth participation – exhibitions, videos and so on.
- Promoting intercultural dialogue;
- Promote social cohesion and inclusive development.
Funding Information
- The total amount of funds for small projects is a maximum of 2,000 euros for Macedonia. The full amount of funds for small projects at regional level is 16,000 euros.
- All funds awarded through this call must be within the minimum and maximum values that are assigned a project:
- Minimum: 500 Euros
- Maximum: 1.000 EUR
Eligibility Criteria
- Formal and informal groups of young people between 16-35 years (minimum 5 youth must be actively involved in the preparation and implementation of the project) who live in the municipality where it was published.
- Youth non-profit and non-governmental organizations with young people aged 16-35 years from the participating municipalities: Skopje or Kavadarci.
