The Cicada Tree Eco-Place (CTEP) is inviting Singapore youths for its “Youth Biodiversity Research Small Grant 2017”.
The CTEP Small Grant supports small-scale or pilot projects in local nature/biodiversity and conservation.
Funding Information
The CTEP Small Grant is for up to 4000 SGD.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications are accepted from individuals or small groups of researchers between the ages of 18 – 35.
- General Criteria:
- Projects should focus on local nature/biodiversity research and conservation in Singapore.
- Projects need to have a strong emphasis on fieldwork with clear conservation benefits.
- The grant will need to cover a significant part of the overall fieldwork costs.
- The grant must make up a significant part of the total budget.
- The project should span a minimum of 6 months’ duration although each application is assessed on its own merit and the project length might be flexible.
- The study might be part of a diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate study. It might also be an NGO or community project.
- The impact of the project must be pragmatic, measurable and long-lasting.
- A judging panel will scrutinise how any application sits within the general c
- The decision of the judging panel is final.
- CTEP would like to be acknowledged in any publication/s related to the research/field study.
