The NCCA is pleased to announce that the Call for Research Proposals is now open. A total of ₱4M in research awards and grants shall be given to outstanding projects in 2018.
As the overall policy-making, coordinating, and funding agency for the preservation, development, and promotion of Philippine arts and culture, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts encourages and supports the conduct of research and the utilization and dissemination of research outputs on culture and the arts.
Types of Awards & Grant
- Research Award for an Individual (regular) – ₱300,000 (6 slots)
- Research Grant for an Organization (regular) – ₱500,000 (1 slot)
- D. Dissertation Award – ₱150,000 ( 4 slots)
- MA Thesis Award – ₱75,000 (8 slots)
Eligibility Criteria
Individual:
- Applicants must have a track record of successful completion of at least one research project on the Arts and Culture prior to application.
- Evidence required is a Copy of the Research Report accompanied by a Certification of its authenticity and successful completion by an external reviewer or adviser.
- The certification may be issued by a school/college/university, the parish priest/pastor with a verifiable identification and address/contact details, or by a barangay chairman, mayor, governor, or IP community leader.
- Applicants must have presented the results of the completed research conducted at a public lecture/performance, in a regional conference (at least), or in a reputable, refereed, publication.
- Evidence required is a certification from the organizers and a copy of the program showing the presentation or a copy of the publication
- The presentation must have been made within the last 5-10 years.
Organization:
- The organization must be non-stock non-profit and may be a PO or CSO. It should have proof of eligibility to receive and handle public funds.
- The organization must have a track record of successful completion of at least one research project on the Arts and Culture prior to application — or the Lead Researcher must have this qualification.
- Evidence required is a Copy of the Research Report accompanied by a Certification of its authenticity and successful completion by an external reviewer or adviser.
- The certification may be issued by a school/college/university, the parish priest/pastor with a verifiable identification and address/contact details, or by a barangay chairman, mayor, governor, or IP community leader.
- The organization must have disseminated the results of the completed research at a public lecture/performance in at least a regional conference, or in a reputable, refereed, publication.
- Evidence required is a certification from the organizers and a copy of the program showing the presentation, or a copy of the publication
- The presentation must have been made within the last 5-10 years.
How to Apply
- Proposals may be submitted in any of the Philippine languages.
