The ArtPlace America (ArtPlace) is seeking applications for its seventh funding round “National Creative Placemaking Fund (NCPF)” to invest in planning and development projects that deploy arts and culture to strengthen their community.
Funding Information
The National Creative Placemaking Fund generally provides support between $50,000 and $500,000 for individual projects.
Project Criteria
- Provides a clear description of a geographic community.
- Clearly defines a place based planning and development challenge or opportunity the community wants to address through this project.
- Describes a clear and compelling way that arts and culture will be deployed to address this specific community development challenge or opportunity.
- Establishes how this community will know change is happening.
Eligibility Criteria
- Everybody and anybody is eligible to apply. Yes anyone! This includes, and is not limited to, a grandmother, a local mosque, a private developer, a local nonprofit, and a tribal government.
- ArtPlace will consider applications from previously funded organizations for new projects. If organization or project has previously received funding from ArtPlace, the organizations only eligible to submit an application once a final report has been submitted and approved by ArtPlace staff.
- ArtPlace will only fund projects located in the U.S and all U.S. territories.
- Projects located in American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are eligible to receive funding.
- These are the things that would make a project ineligible:
- The project doesn’t take place in the U.S.
- Two applications are submitted by the same applicant
- The same project is proposed twice by different partners.

Interested applicants must apply in a prescribed format via given website.
Eligible Countries: United States, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
