The City of Greater Geelong is seeking applications for Quick Response Grant,
The purpose of the Arts Projects Grants is to cultivate the strength, diversity and vitality of their City’s arts and cultural ecosystem; engage the whole community in their City’s cultural life; and celebrate their City’s distinct, diverse and evolving culture.
Funding Information
- Grants of up to $2,000 are available to support individual Arts Projects that aim to foster creativity, engage the wider community and embed the role of the arts in the life and experience of the people of the Geelong region.
- There is a total grant pool of $220,000 available to cover the three arts grants offered by the City (Arts Projects, Professional Development and Quick Response).
What will be Funded?
- The cost of delivering creative projects including items such as artist fees, studio hire, publicity and promotion, documentation and materials.
- Available to those working in all art forms, including but not limited to, music, dance, visual arts, fashion, interpretation, writing/literature, performing arts, design, film/video and digital media.
Eligibility Criteria

Eligible applicants can apply for a quick response grant to support the exploration, development and presentation of arts projects for activities that:
- That are urgent or time-sensitive
- That require a commitment of funding outside of the Arts Projects Grants annual round, and for projects
- That seek an urgent commitment of funding to support a funding application timeline of other levels of government
- To act on opportunities that were unknown at the time of the Arts Projects grant round.
Who can and can’t apply?
- The City’s grants are primarily offered to not-for-profit community organisations with some exceptions to suit the objectives of individual grants.
- All applicants must possess an Australian Business Number (ABN) or provide a Statement by a Supplier Form available from the ATO.
- Applicants must have fully acquitted previous successful (funded) applications as required and have no outstanding debts or arrears to the City of Greater Geelong.
