Aura Cacia is currently accepting applications for its Aura Cacia Positive Change Project grant to support organizations that partner with women and girls who are actively working to positively transform their lives and projects that focus on equipping women and girls with the resources to further their commitment to live more purposeful lives.
Priorities
To receive funding from the Positive Change Project, a program must align with the following priorities:
- Organizational Priorities:
- Provides resources and services directly to women and girls who face substantial barriers to sustaining their commitment to positive change
- Enables disadvantaged women and/or girls who desire change to become more stable and self-sufficient
- Programing Priorities:
- Employs strategies designed to reinforce a woman or girl’s positive change by living healthfully and purposefully
- Reinforces positive self-image, self-respect and self-confidence in women and/or girls
- Creates opportunities for women to drive curriculum/programming that can be applied to program development and mentoring of other women
Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofit (501(c)(3)) tax-exempt organizations or grassroots groups serving women and girls in the U.S. and Canada are encouraged to apply for Positive Change Project grants.
- Grants will support organizations and programs that:
- provide resources and services directly to women and girls who face substantial barriers to sustaining their commitment to positive change
- help disadvantaged women and girls become more stable and self-sufficient
- reinforce the commitment of women and girls to live healthfully and purposefully
- promote positive self-image, self-respect and self-confidence in women and girls
Selection Criteria
The proposals will be reviewed using the following criteria along with the priorities described above:
- How closely the program aligns with the mission and values the Positive Change Project and the Aura Cacia brand.
- The extent to which the program can provide measurable change within a population (inclusion of measurable outcomes).
- The extent to which the project focuses on creating long-term change for women and/or girls as a group and is structured to do so; Evidence of need and the appropriateness of the proposed solution that is based on available research and statistics; especially data that are relevant and specific to the individuals applicant’s project is designed to serve;
- The extent to which the proposed budget and timetable are justified and reasonable to complete the project.
- The extent to which the project may integrate Aura Cacia employees and consumers.
