The ACT Community Services Directorate (CSD) is pleased to announce the availability of the 2022-23 Community Support and Infrastructure Grant (CSIG) Program.
Aim and Purpose

This Program aims to support community groups and organisations to improve their programs and services for the benefit of members of the ACT community through the following three (3) grant categories:
- Community support and capacity building;
- Non-fixed infrastructure, furniture and equipment (not including IT and audio-visual available through the Technology Upgrade Fund Grants);
- And minor capital works and fixed infrastructure.

- ACT Health and Wellbeing
- COVID-19 safety.
Priority Areas

The following priorities need to be addressed through the proposed project/activity.
- Community groups and small community based organisations impacted by and recovering from recent environmental and climate events.
- Groups and organisations re-engaging and reconnecting with their target communities affected by COVID-19.
Funding Information

The total funding available for this program is $200,000 (GST Inclusive). Grant funds are made toward meeting the eligible costs of a project.
- The maximum grant that can be applied for is $10,000.
- A community in-kind or financial contribution of minimum 15 per cent is required for projects with a total budget valued at more than $10,000.
- Successful recipients must spend the funds within 12 months of receiving the grant.
Eligible Projects
- Meet the aims of the grant program;
- Be located primarily in the ACT;
- Provide evidence of how the program will primarily benefit ACT residents; and
- Include all supporting documentation needed for the application.
Note: your application will not be assessed for funding if you do not comply with the eligibility requirements. Late Applications will not be accepted.
Eligibility Criteria
- New projects from last year’s recipients that involve partnerships or collaborations are eligible and encouraged.
- To be considered, applicants must have no overdue Acquittal Reports for any previous CSD grant. Acquittals must be submitted and received by CSD Grants team before submitting a new application.

Organisations that want to apply must:
- Be a legally incorporated entity or supported by an incorporated auspicing organisation.
- Be a registered not-for-profit or a charitable organisation.
- Have no overdue reporting obligations for any previous grants.
- Only apply once in the 2022-23 round.
- Hold appropriate insurance cover for the grant period. Insurances that may be required include Public Liability Insurance of no less than $10 million dollars, Personal Accident, Volunteer Cover or Directors Professional Indemnity. Evidence of insurance may be required as a condition of the grant.
- Unincorporated community groups may apply through an auspicing organisation. More information is available in 6.4.
Ineligible

Funding must not be used for:
- Projects that do not contribute to or meet the aims of this program;
- A project that is not delivered primarily within the ACT or benefits the ACT community;
- General administration and ongoing operational costs such as salaries, communication and IT (refer to Technology Upgrade Fund Grants), stationery, rent, leasing or utilities, licensing and registration fees;
- Costs of projects or activities that have already taken place or items purchased;
- Operational insurance costs or specific to the project;
- Debt repayments;
- Projects activities already funded by the ACT Government or Australian Government;
- Any travel and accommodation costs;
- Project activities that contain content that may offend or bring into disrepute the applicant organisation, the Community Services Directorate and/or the ACT Government;
- Commitments such as contracts, hire purchase or rental agreements for any goods beyond the funding period; or
- Festivals, parties and celebrations.
