The City of Gold Coast has announced the applications for Emergency & Extraordinary Grants Program.
The Emergency & Extraordinary Grants Program is intended to help community organisations that can demonstrate a need for emergency funding due to an unexpected cost or safety risk to the organisation.
Funding Information
- Applications from $1000 to $5000 are welcomed.
Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:
- Be a community organisation
- Operate within the Gold Coast
- Have an adequate level of public liability insurance for the project (where appropriate)
- Not be an ineligible applicant.

Project Requirements

Applicants must be able to:
- Demonstrate that the requirement for the grant has arisen due to emergency or extraordinary circumstances;
- Not have received an emergency or extraordinary grant from Council within the previous twelve months;
- Demonstrate that the provision of the grant is in the public interest;
- Demonstrate that the grant will benefit residents of the Gold Coast;
- Demonstrate why a competitive grant application cannot be submitted via other programs under this policy;
- Complete the project within twelve months of the date of remittance of funds.

Applicants must be able to:
Ineligible Projects

Projects must not be:
- Funded under another program within this policy
- Part of the ordinary course of operations or business of the community organisation
- Funded from other Council sources
- Used for repayment of a debt
- For the sole purpose of fundraising for transfer to a third party
- Commenced prior to remittance of funds.
