The Northern Territory Government is accepting applications for Quick Response Places and Spaces Grant Program.
The Quick Response Places and Spaces (QRPS) Grant Program supports the sport and active recreation industry in the Northern Territory (NT) and is administered for the NT Government (NTG) Territory Families, Housing and Communities (The Department).
The key program area is assistance for sport and active recreation organisations, to meet immediate equipment expenses and facility repairs, that are unforeseeable or unexpected, that hinder the provision of sport or active recreation.
Funding Information
- Funding is for a minimum $500 to a maximum of $5 000.
What can be funded?
- You can get funding to repair or replace equipment or a facility if:
- It was unforeseeable and not reasonable to expect your organisation to budget the costs it will cause:
- Occupational health and safety implications eg. structural damage caused by storm
- Financial hardship eg. lost revenue due to inability to access or maintain facility
- You have:
- The NT Police report for theft and criminal activity (if applicable)
- Evidence of insurance held by the organisation or owner for stolen or damaged equipment or facility.
- It was unforeseeable and not reasonable to expect your organisation to budget the costs it will cause:
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible, your sport or active recreation organisation must be:
- Focused on the promotion of active recreation activities for:
- Relaxation, health, wellbeing and enjoying outside of organised sport
- Based in the Northern Territory (NT)
- Currently registered as one of the following:
- An incorporated body with Licensing NT
- Another comparable legal status
- A not-for-profit organisation
- Compliant with Licensing NT or other relevant authority
- The national body or the NT peak sporting body and/or active recreation organisation of an organisation (where applicable)
- The owner of the affected property or hold a lease of at least 3 years with the owner’s approval.
- Focused on the promotion of active recreation activities for:
Who cannot apply?
- ‘Parents and Citizens Associations’/’Parents and Friends Associations.’
- State/Territory and Australian Government agencies.
- Regional and local councils.
- Tertiary education institutions, schools, school councils, student groups.
- Political and religious organisations.
- Any organisation/individual that has received funding from this program in the current financial year.
- Organisations/individuals with outstanding government grant acquittals.
- For-profit/commercial organisations.
- Organisations that are not based in the NT.
- Organisations that do not meet the Departments definition of a sport or active recreation organisation.
- Organisations not compliant with Licensing NT.
- Organisations that are not affiliated with a recognised national body or NT Peak Sporting Body (where applicable).
