Bhutan National Bank (BNB) recognizes its social responsibility and is committed to supporting initiatives that make positive contributions and address key issues within communities, thus invites proposals from Bhutanese nationals/organizations seeking financial assistance for projects/activities primarily focused on the following two themes:
- Waste and Environment Management
- Control of Drugs and Substance Abuse
BNB, being one of the largest Bank in the country, believes in sharing their success with the communities and people by shouldering some of the responsibilities beneficial to the community and citizen at large. BNB recognizes its social responsibility and is committed to contributing positively to the community.
Objectives
- The primary objectives of this CSR initiative are as follows:
- Waste and Environment Management
- Promote projects that focus on waste reduction, recycling, environmental conservation, and sustainable practices in the community.
- Control of Drugs and Substance Abuse:
- Support projects that raise awareness about the dangers of drug and substance abuse, provide support to affected individuals, and promote healthy lifestyles.

- Waste and Environment Management
- A detailed narrative that showcases the project’s Impact on waste reduction, environmental conservation, and sustainable practices. This should include quantifiable results, such as the amount of waste reduced or recycled, improvement in air or water quality, and community engagement in environmental initiatives.
- Control of Drugs and Substance Abuse
- A touching narrative that demonstrates the project’s impact on raising awareness about the dangers of drug and substance abuse and providing support to affected individuals. Share stories of individuals who have successfully overcome addiction and are leading healthier lives thanks to the project’s interventions.
Funding Information
- The initiative seeks to fund 2 projects for each theme aligned with these objectives, allocating a budget Not More than Nu. 500,000 for each project.
Requirements
- Interested organizations and groups are invited to submit project proposals adhering to the following guidelines:
- Provide a concise overview of the proposed project, highlighting its alignment with the specified objectives and expected impact.
- Provide a realistic timeline indicating project milestones, activities, and completion dates. Start within by 10th June 2024.
- Detail the project’s scope, objectives, activities, and methodologies. Clearly outline how the project addresses the selected theme.
- Present a comprehensive budget breakdown for the project, ensuring that the proposed expenses are well-justified.
- Demonstrate potential collaboration with relevant local stakeholders, organizations, or communities to enhance project effectiveness.
- Outline how the project’s progress and impact will be monitored, measured, and evaluated. This should include key performance indicators (KPIs) and methods for data collection.
