Deadline: 21 August 2017
British Council is seeking applications for its project entitled “Supporting the Transformation of Higher Education in Myanmar” to contribute at national level to Myanmar’s higher education reform.
There is a critical need to build the capacity of university leaders and senior managers in higher education institutions and the Ministry of Education in Myanmar to be able to effectively respond to new national plans and lead real change in their institutions.
This initial one year project involves capacity development for a significant cohort of these leaders. Project activities will include support to the senior management teams of 10 universities, support to policy makers, the co-design of three short, practical professional development courses for the new National Institute of Higher Education Development and the design and delivery of two national events/workshops. Through these activities, the project will also provide opportunities to build and strengthen relationships between Myanmar and UK higher education institutions.
