The Bupa Foundation is currently accepting applications for the Green Community Grants.
The Bupa Foundation Green Community Grants is part of Bupa’s Healthy Cities campaign and supports practical projects which help both people and planet health, with priority given to regeneration of green spaces for community use.
Funding Information
- Grants of between £500 and £2,000 are available.
- Projects must be delivered by the end of April 2025.
Eligible Projects
- They want to fund practical projects which benefit both people and planet health.
- Priority will be given to projects that:
- Improve or create new green spaces
- Benefit and involve the local community
- Are located in disadvantaged areas (high Indices of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) scores for the postcode, or a school with a significant proportion of children benefitting from free school meals)
- Examples of green projects could include:
- Improving a local community garden for community use and recreational activities
- Volunteer-led tree or flower planting to improve air quality and biodiversity
- Creating an outdoor classroom or ‘forest school’ on school grounds
- Creating a community food growing space
- This is not an exhaustive list and other project ideas to improve green spaces are also welcomed.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grants can be awarded to schools (they will not accept applications from private, fee-paying schools), registered charities, not-for-profit organisations, local authorities and social housing providers across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Ineligible
- Applications are not eligible from:
- Individuals
- Community Interest Companies with shares (CIC’s)
- Community Interest Companies with guarantee that are less than two years old
- Profit-making organisations
- Unconstituted organisations
- Private, fee-paying schools
