The Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation is seeking applications for the provision of subsidies for development cooperation projects of the Slovak Republic for the year 2023, as part of the Business Partnerships Program.
Goals
- Support of budding business activities of Slovak subjects, small and medium-sized enterprises and startups, and expansion of existing private sector activities in partner countries of the development cooperation of the Slovak Republic.
- Support of synergy between the development cooperation goals of the Slovak Republic and business goals in developing countries. Creating new business partnerships and building sustainable capacities of local partners. Mobilize private resources, including investments with social impact to strengthen Slovak development activities and help Slovak business entities establish themselves in developing countries and make it easier for local businesses to access global value chains.
Funding Information
- The indicative amount of funds allocated for the call is EUR 400,000.
- The maximum amount of the required ODA subsidy for a project in the Preparation category is EUR 10,000.
- The maximum amount of the required ODA subsidy for a project in the Implementation category is EUR 200,000
Eligibility Criteria
Within this call, the following entities are eligible applicants:
- Enterprise in the sense of article 107 par. 1 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, ie any entity that carries out economic activity regardless of legal status and method of financing. An economic activity is any activity that consists in offering goods and/ or services on the market. The applicant can be an enterprise that meets all the requirements of the definition of a small and medium-sized enterprise (hereinafter “SME”) or a micro-enterprise that will implement an eligible project, while the eligible beneficiary may be:
- new and start-up business – i.e. a business that has been in business for less than three years as of the date of submission of the subsidy application (including start-up and spin-off businesses)
- existing business – i.e. a business that as of the date of submission of the subsidy application has been in business for at least three years
- The applicant’s date of birth must be no later than January 1, 2022 inclusive. If the applicant is created after this deadline, he/she will be considered ineligible.
- All legal entities with an assigned ID number, i.e. businesses, public administration entities, organizations, associations and foundations registered at the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, which also meet the conditions stated in the call, can apply for a subsidy:
- authorized to perform the activities specified in the application and at the same time
- actively carry out activities related to the subject of business or the provision of generally beneficial services and the implementation of projects in the sector of the proposed intervention, which they will demonstrate with references and at the same time
- have settled relations with the state budget of the Slovak Republic and at the same time
- have settled financial relations with SAMRS and at the same time
- submitted documents and documents proving the fulfillment of the conditions for providing the subsidy.
