The Byerly Foundation is proud to support organizations that positively impact the Hartsville community. The Byerly Foundation is a private foundation formed from the proceeds of the sale of the Byerly Hospital in 1995. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees whose focus has been finding ways to make an impact on education, economic development and social needs in Hartsville, SC. Since giving the first grants in 1998, the Foundation has invested over $25 million in the Hartsville community.

Eligibility Criteria
- The Byerly Foundation can make grants to qualifying 501-C-3 organizations and certain public, governmental units for charitable and community focused programs.
- The Foundation does not make grants to individuals and it does not fund scholarship programs.
- As a reminder, grants must directly benefit Hartsville, SC and the organization must be a 501c3 or government entity.
