Applicants are invited to submit expressions of interest for the “Digital, inclusive, and transformative: Quality education for Montenegro” initiative, implemented by UNICEF, UNESCO and ILO, under Montenegro SDG Acceleration Fund.
This joint initiative seeks to further strengthen the educational system in Montenegro by facilitating the digital transformation of education, through a smart and inclusive integration of digital tools and capacities into pedagogical practice and the
direct support to children and adolescents by involving them as active participants in co-creating digital programs and solutions, as well as enabling them to acquire the skills essential to learning, employability, exercising online safety and participation in socio-economic development of a country.

Components
- This project has three main components:
- Capacity building for primary and secondary school teachers to use modern didactics for online, offline, and blended learning, including a learner-centred approach, e-pedagogy and special support for the most vulnerable students.
- Enriching the digital teaching as well learning content for STEM skills, career guidance, core-employability skills and prevention of online violence, through establishment of EdTech Hubs at primary and secondary schools in six municipalities in the northern region, with a related programme.
- Providing opportunities for children and adolescents in underserved communities in the north to build and exercise skills in STEM, core-employability, digital, media and information literacy skills, including through participation in Digital Skills Summer Camps and extra-curricular activities at school-based EdTech Hubs.

Expected Results
- The proposal for partnership with relevant activities should be designed to achieve below listed results:
- Two Digital Skills Summer Camps are successfully organized for four days each, whereas one for primary school teachers, children and adolescents from six municipalities and the second one for secondary school teachers, children and adolescents from six municipalities
- Students and teachers from all twelve schools, across three different regions in Montenegro, are directly informed about the Digital Skills Summer Samp and the activities of school-based EdTech hubs that will be presented during Digital Skills Summer Camps.
- At least 80 children and adolescents in total are to participate in the Digital Skills Summer Camps and will be consulted on its development and implementation, with established feedback mechanisms and participation of at least 12 teachers from twelve primary and secondary schools across six municipalities.
- Private sector partners, including IT community are engaged in the conceptualization and successful implementation of the different activities for two summer camps.
- Adequate, safe and inclusive transportation, space, as well as necessary equipment are identified and provided throughout the duration of summer camps, in collaboration with three UN agencies and Ministry of Education, Science and innovation.
