The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) North Macedonia invites interested Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to express their interest in partnering with UNICEF to support the implementation of initiatives focusing on capacity development preschool caregivers.

- UNICEF is seeking to engage a partner that would build on the SEL programme introduced in the preschools in the past three years and extend the programme benefits to the preschool caregivers by: – Convening a team of trainers from the preschool teachers who have experience in delivering the SEL programme through the peer support network; – Developing and deliver a training programme on Social and Emotional Learning for the preschool caregivers, closely aligned with the SEL programme introduced in preschools that was integrated in the national Early Learning and Development Programme; – Providing extended mentorship, guidance, co-teaching, modelling and feedback to the preschool caregivers through the professional learning communities established in 2022; – Contributing to the strengthening of professional learning communities through organizing collaborative and knowledge-share activities and involving pedagogues, psychologists and other members of the preschool professional team. The approximative duration of the intervention is 6 to 8 months.

- Expertise and direct experience with the preschool system and early childhood education and development;
- Experience with delivering programmes on social and emotional learning in preschools;
- Familiarity with the concept of Professional Learning Communities and experience with initiating such a community at a preschool;
- Replicability/scalability of the interventions proposed as part of the submitted programme proposals.
- Prior experience of working with UN/UNICEF (applies both to the organisation and/or its staff and proposed team of experts)
- Management ability and staff capacity
- Institutional capacity and sustainability Includes a review of the CSO and its proposed staff capacity related to:
- Cost effectiveness
- Proposed fees for the experts and consultants
- Contribution from the CSO
- Proposed fees for the project management costs.
