The Carrefour Foundation is calling prospective project initiators to apply for their projects in favor of sustainable food transition for all. If your initiative has an impact on Nutritional Education Sustainable Agriculture, Zero-Food Waste.
The aim of the ‘Together for the Food Transition’ call for projects is to recognise 8 associations: 1 in each integrated country in the Carrefour Group (outside France). These countries are: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Poland, Romania and Taiwan. Associations must have projects of general interest in one or more of the following fields:
- Sustainable agriculture means any project or activity that enables the development of know-how leading to human-scale, land-based, resource-efficient and low-carbon agriculture.
- The Anti-Waste Programme shall include any project or activity relating to tackling waste, which tends to put an end to the misuse of various products, in particular food.
- Nutrition Education is understood as any project or activity that contributes to the development of healthy eating habits for health and the environment. The most sensitive groups, such as children or people in vulnerable situations, are particularly targeted.
- Any project for vulnerable, isolated or precarious people on any of the above themes. The Carrefour Foundation’s call for projects is addressed to all associations as defined in the law of the country concerned. The association must be able to benefit from funds from a French Business Foundation.
Purpose
The purpose of these rules is to define the terms and conditions of the call for proposals and to lay down the rules applicable to all applicants (hereinafter referred to as “associations”). The terms and conditions of the rules may be amended at any time by the Carrefour Foundation, which must inform the associations thereof, provided that if the amendment took place after the close of the call for projects and before the awards were presented, only the associations selected will be informed of the modification made by the Carrefour Foundation.
Funding Information
- Total grant: 240 000€.
- Only eight (8) associations may be declared “Winners” of the following prizes:
- Funding of €30,000 per association (1 association per country).
- Follow-up and assistance in the implementation of the project according to the objectives of the means determined by both parties over the period of the signed Agreement, if any
- It is stated that the description of these prizes is restrictive and that no other application or benefit may be requested by the Laureates. The award of prizes shall not be a guarantee of the success of the project or activity nor shall it remove any risk from the project or activity.
Eligibility Criteria
- Participation in this call for projects must be part of the usual activities of the association or complement missions of general interest. The Carrefour Foundation’s call for projects consists of an association presenting a project of general interest on the themes of sustainable agriculture, anti-waste and nutritional education.
- The call for proposals of the Carrefour Foundation consists in the submission of an application in accordance with these rules. The prize awarded (financial allocation, see SECTION VII. PRIZE) is only for award-winning associations.
- The employees of the Carrefour Foundation may be volunteers or members of the association who present themselves for the call for projects of the Carrefour Foundation but must not receive any reward or remuneration related to this associative commitment.
- The call for projects is addressed exclusively to associations subject to the legislation of the country concerned (Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Poland, Romania or Taiwan). Businesses or other structures (cooperative, social and solidarity enterprise, job placement firm, simplified joint stock company, etc.) cannot apply for this call for projects.
- Associations must:
- Apply for one or more of the following: sustainable agriculture, anti-waste and/or nutrition education,
- Present a specific project within the framework of the above-mentioned themes,
- Develop projects located in one of the integrated countries of the Carrefour Group, outside France. These countries are: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Poland, Romania and Taiwan.
