The 3rd Call for Proposals under CreativeACTIONs 2 is now officially open, inviting Zimbabwean artists, cultural operators and creative organisations to apply for funding.
Focus Areas
- Special Focus: Policy Dialogue and Advocacy:
- Under its third result area, CreativeACTIONs 2 aims “to empower the Creative sector to participate in policy dialogue and advocacy in order to contribute to an enabling operating environment for the Cultural and Creative Industries strengthen capacities for creative civil society organizations and arts and culture practitioners in Zimbabwe.”
- While a few projects have been supported under this result area, the 3rd Call for Proposals places a strong priority on initiatives focused on policy dialogue and advocacy initiatives. The call therefore specifically encourages applications from competent, experienced, and well established institutions or organisations that have a deep understanding of policy processes and advocacy work.
Funding Information
- Larger Grants: USD 11,000 to 60,000
- Smaller Grants: USD 1,000 to 10,000
Geographical Focus
- The projects are to be implemented anywhere in Zimbabwe. Creatives from all 10 provinces in Zimbabwe are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility Criteria
- The call is open to individual creatives and creative organisations. Women, persons with disabilities and youth are strongly encouraged to apply and proposals that promote diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity are particularly welcomed.
Selection Criteria
- Key considerations for proposals should reflect:
- Comprehension of Zimbabwean policies, lobbying, advocacy and dialogue relevant to the arts and culture sector
- Evidence of previous experience working closely to support Government programs and projects
- Ability to promote and connect with Government departments in efforts which advance national policies for arts and culture
- Knowledge and skills to coordinate and collaborate with creative industries players, aiming to improve accessibility and promote diverse artistic and cultural expression
- Practical methodologies and approaches to engage with state and non-state actors in delivering policy and advocacy work.
Application Requirements
- Applicants are encouraged to submit:
- Two pager document in their own format reflecting, experience, clear methodology and approach on how they will execute their proposed policy and advocacy efforts.
- Curriculum vitae (CVs) of team members, profiles for individuals or organisations
- At least 2 reference letters.
