UNDP is seeking partner non-government organizations in the framework of “Improving Municipal Social Protection Service Delivery” UN Joint Programme for innovative small projects contributing to the provision of social care services in response to COVID-19.
Following this Call for Proposals at least one applications will be selected for funding in each of the targeted municipalities. The funds will be disbursed to the CSO in compliance with their proposed project budget. Although each applicant may submit more than one proposal, each recipient cannot be granted more than one project. The project teams are expected to have measures in place to guarantee and demonstrate that the end beneficiaries are targeted vulnerable people.
Goals
- The grants scheme’s goal is to Contribute directly to the provision social care service for Roma and Egyptian and persons with disabilities and other vulnerable communities as a response to COVID-19 and any other emergencies at local level through implementation of innovative small projects as part of municipalities’ own Social Plans.
- The call for proposals promotes initiatives aiming:
- Integrated data collection and analysis, and improving data systems (including with digital technology) in response to Covid-19 arising social issues;
- Awareness raising, strategic communications, and sharing and learning on social care and Covid-19 related themes;
- Implementation of digital and tele-services for vulnerable communities in response to Covid-19;
- linking social protection and health care services for the most vulnerable.
Funding Information
- The projects considered eligible to receive from 500,000 to 1,000,000.
- ALL each shall be:
- In the field of social care services benefiting Roma & Egyptians and persons with disabilities
- In response to social cohesion in at least one of the following areas:
- Integrated data collection and analysis, and improving data systems (including with digital technology) in response to Covid-19 arising social issues;
- Awareness raising, strategic communications, and sharing and learning on social care and Covid-19 related themes;
- Implementation of digital and tele-services for vulnerable communities in response to Covid-19;
- linking social protection and health care services for the most vulnerable.
- In line with the priorities of the Municipal Social Care Plan of the respective municipality.
- Able to be taken over and followed by respective municipality once the project implementation is completed.
Duration
The duration of a Project should be between 9 to 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant shall be:
- A non-profit organisation established in Albania.
- An applicant that exercises its activity in the Municipality of Tirana, Kamza, Puka, Rrogozhina, Progradec or Devoll.
- The applicant shall possess:
- A court decision certifying the registration of the organisation.
- A Tax ID Certificate.
- A bank account in ALL in the name of the Applicant.
- The Applicants should be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the Project with their partners, not acting as intermediary, in the one of the targeted municipalities: Tirana, Kamza, Puka, Rrogozhina, Progradec or Devoll.
- The Applicant may apply individually or in partnership.
