The Hanger Foundation supports 501c3 organizations that directly and positively impact people with physical challenges in need in the United States that fit within their focus areas.
Focus Areas
- For this grant cycle, the Hanger Foundation is seeking grant applications focused on empowering people through:
- Rehabilitation and support services for related illnesses or trauma (ex. stroke, sports injuries, combat related injuries)
- Athletic programs, social activities, and events for individuals with physical challenges with a special emphasis on amputees/people with limb difference
Funding Information
- All grants under $20,000 are one-year grants only.
Eligibility Criteria
- Operating expenses are only funded up to 15% of the total grant and only when connected with a funded project or program.
- All organizations applying for grants must complete the Grant Application Process.
Ineligibility Criteria
- They are not currently offering funding for the following purposes: seed/pilot funding, capacity building, and capital campaigns.
- The Hanger Foundation does not fund individuals, endowments, or political organizations.
Application Requirements
- The following documentation will need to be uploaded:
- 501c3
- 990
- Current board list with names and affiliations
- Brief summary/bio of the qualifications of the ED and/or applicable professional staff
- Statement outlining how the staff, volunteers, and board reflect the diversity of the geographical area that your organization serves and the community impacted by the program(s)
- Project budget (if applicable)
- Organizational budget for the current fiscal year
- Organizational budget for the next year (if applicable)
