As part of the UK government’s commitment to continuing to support the Bangsamoro peace process, the British Embassy Manila is seeking bids for projects under its ISF programme.
This is a five-year programme (2020-2025), with the following core elements:
- Supporting for the political track of the peace process;
- Supporting the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda;
- Promoting Active Civic Engagement across the BARMM; and
- Supporting the normalization track of the peace process.
Project proposals are now being sought for projects under component four above, specifically to cover the following components of the normalization track:
- Confidence Building Measures (specifically relating to the amnesty process)
- Security (specifically relating to the disbandment of private armed groups)
- Socio-Economic (specifically relating to civil registration)
- Transitional Justice.
Funding Information
- All bids must have government buy-in. Bidders are strongly advised to limit their proposals to a maximum of £481,500 and to be in Pounds Sterling (GBP).
Implementation Timeframe
- Successful applicants will implement their project from June 2024 until 15 March 2025. All payment requests and reporting should be finalised by 31 March 2025. You are advised to plan project activities accordingly.
Eligibility Criteria
- Managerial and Financial Aspects
- Any organisation can apply for funding. They do not accept project bids submitted by individuals.
- The implementer must have an active bank account in the name of the organisation to which they can electronically transfer reimbursements.
- Organisations must prove that they are able to manage the project budget satisfactorily; the Embassy may request reports by auditors.
- Co-financing
- A partnership framework to support the broader engagement of a project is welcome and can strengthen your bid. Please make sure to specify your other source(s) of funding in the proposal.
Ineligible
- They regret that they are unable to fund:
- academic courses;
- charitable activities;
- commercial activities; or
- infrastructure or construction projects.
