The European Commission (EC) is calling for proposals for Cybercrime and Digital Investigations.
Objectives
- Developing operational capacity and expertise of law enforcement and judicial authorities and supporting cross-border cooperation in the field of Cybercrime, including Cybersecurity when related;
- Development of investigative and forensics tools to address the challenges posed by the use of encryption by criminals and its impact on criminal investigations and supporting law enforcement authorities' engagement in the area of Internet governance;
- Fostering cross-border cooperation between law enforcement/ judicial authorities and private entities. This includes, for instance, the establishment of mechanisms supporting public-private cooperation and mechanisms to enhance reporting of crime to law enforcement authorities.
Funding Information
The available call budget is EUR 8 000 000.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible, the applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must:
- be legal entities (public or private bodies)

be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.:
- EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs), excluding Denmark,
- non-EU countries: without any limitation as long as relevant for the call for proposals in view of their advanced competences.
