Submissions are now open for the Pfizer Quality Improvement Grant program to optimize the care of patients with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma (LA/mUC).
Areas of Interest
- This call for proposals seeks solutions to optimize the care of patients with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma (LA/mUC). Ideally, these projects will have a short-term impact, aiming to fill important gaps in care in 1L LA/mUC, may benefit community clinical practices, and/or involve multi-institutional collaborations. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Solutions to improve identification and/or support Early identification of adverse events (AEs) in 1L la/mUC (with priority given to neuropathy and skin reactions)
- Solutions to improve 1L la/mUC treatment in difficult-to-treat populations
- Solutions to optimize the administration of treatment in 1L la/mUC Canada
Funding Information
- The total budget available for this call for proposals is $200,000 (CAD).
- Individual projects requesting up to a maximum of $100,000 (CAD) will be considered.
Eligibility Criteria
- The following organizations can apply: medical schools, dental schools, science schools nurses, paramedical and/or pharmacy; healthcare institutions (large and small); professional organizations; government agencies; and other entities with a mission related to improving healthcare.
- Only organizations are eligible for grants, not individuals or practice groups. medical (i.e. a medical practice group includes any group of individual physicians that is not affiliated with a hospital, educational institution, or professional society).
- Collaborations within institutions (e.g. between departments and/or inter-professional), as well as between different institutions/organisations/associations, are encouraged. Please note that all partners must have a relevant role and that the requesting organisation must have a key role in the project.
- The applicant must be the Project Manager/Principal Investigator (PI) or an authorized representative of that person (e.g., the project leader/grant PI/research coordinator).
- The Project Manager/PI must be an employee or vendor of the requesting organization.
- The applicant organization must be legally able to receive funding directly from Pfizer International, LLC. They strongly recommend that applicants confirm this with their organization or institution prior to submitting their application. Grants awarded to organizations that are subsequently found unable to accept funding directly from Pfizer International, LLC may be forfeited.
