The Small Grants Programme (SGP) Fiji invites proposals to improve access to clean and reliable energy in rural communities.
This initiative aligns with Strategic Initiative 2 of the OP7 Country Programme Strategy, aiming to promote renewable energy solutions for remote rural areas.
Objectives
- Equip rural health facilities (health centres) in the eastern maritime areas with solar power systems.
- Improve healthcare service delivery by ensuring a reliable and cost-effective energy source.
Eligibility Criteria
- Registered non-profit CSOs and/or CBOs are eligible to apply.
- Priority will be given to organizations with:
- Experience working on similar renewable energy initiatives in rural communities
- A demonstrated commitment to collaborating with the relevant authorities and the GEF SGP team during project implementation.
