The Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Serbia is soliciting project proposals for the competition in the advancement of the position of persons with disabilities in the Republic of Serbia in 2017.
The subject of the competition is funding or participation in the funding of program activities of the Alliance of Associations of Persons with Disabilities at the national or provincial level, which undertake their activities directly or through the operation of local associations in their system, with the aim of improving the position of persons with disabilities.
Funding Information
Funds for the competition are provided in the budget of the Republic of Serbia, in the budgetary fund for programs of the protection and improvement of the position of persons with disabilities, the total amount of which is up to 225,000,000.00 dinars.
Priorities
As part of the competition, funding or participation in funding of the implementation of the activities, which are aimed at improving the position of persons with disabilities, is provided through:
- Accessibility of information by eliminating communication barriers,
- Participation by removing barriers to the full participation of people with disabilities in society and by implementing stimulating and inclusive programs and services and
- Equality through raising awareness of the community and ensuring equality of persons with disabilities.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- they are registered as associations of citizens’ associations registered in the Republic of Serbia;
- that are composed of at least three local associations who have experience and directly carry out activities in the implementation of projects in the area of improving the situation of persons with disabilities for at least three years;
- be directly responsible for the preparation and implementation of the project;
- that earlier commitments under the contract with the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Issues in a timely, efficient and fully committed;
- have the capacity in terms of human and material resources, and experience to implement the activities proposed and / or these innovative activities, or from the broader social interest in terms of territory, the number and type of users, satisfying the needs of persons with disabilities or equalization of their opportunities.
