Deadline: 12 June 2017
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi is currently seeking applications for its Humanitarian Assistance Projects for Sri Lanka.
Following the current devastating floods and landslides in Sri Lanka, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic approved an amount of CZK 2.5 million from the humanitarian budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the reconstruction of the country. The Czech assistance will be implemented through the financing of a reconstruction project following the current floods. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi invites all those interested in implementing such a project to process the project document and send it to the Embassy’s address.
By approving humanitarian assistance, the Czech Republic has joined a number of international organizations and countries that have already announced the provision of the assistance. The Czech assistance will be implemented through the financing of a reconstruction project following the current floods, possibly with the disaster risk reduction component and with the improvement of preparedness and resilience against this type of disaster.
The local authority, a local non-profit organization or a Czech non-profit organization in cooperation with a local partner may be the implementer.

- The Embassy includes a pattern of identification form for local partners. If the main contractor was a Czech non-profit organization it will use the materials available for the project preparation on the given website.
- Project proposals must be submitted either via email or post/couriers at the address given on the website.
