The Cancer Australia invites applications for funding under the Supporting people with cancer (SPWC) Grant initiative.
The SPWC Grant initiative is an annual grants program that aims to support people affected by cancer through the provision of grants to community organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations.
The SPWC Grant initiative will fund evidence-based projects to reduce the impact of cancer and better support people affected by cancer. Community organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations supporting people affected by cancer can apply for grants of up to $120,000 (GST exclusive) over a three-year period (2023-2026).
Funding Information
Grants for projects to be conducted over a period less than three years should not exceed $40,000 (GST exclusive) per annum.

Eligibility Criteria
- Community organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations supporting people affected by cancer and registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) are encouraged to apply to reduce the impact of cancer and better support people affected by cancer.
- Organisations must be able to demonstrate existing community linkages and/or new partnerships. Consortia wishing to apply must identify a lead organisation; the lead organisation of an application must be a community organisation or an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation. Applicants can only apply for one grant per grant round as a lead organisation.
- Organisations must ensure that they are eligible to enter into a funding agreement with Cancer Australia before submitting their application under the SPWC Grant initiative. This means that organisations must be legal entities e.g. community organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and registered with the ACNC. Individuals are not eligible to apply for this funding.
