Centre for Civic Education (CCE) within the project Let’s Put Corruption in to Museum has opened a call for proposals to support civil society organisations’ projects in Montenegro.
Objectives
- Overall objective:
- Contribution to the reduction of corruption at the local level in Montenegro.
- Specific objectives :
- Strengthening the capacity of CSOs to effectively work towards the prevention and fight against corruption in local communities in Montenegro;
- Motivating citizens to actively engage and engage in the fight against corruption local level.
Grant Information
The amount of funds that can be approved for individual projects under this contest is maximum € 10,000, and partnerships are also encouraged.
Themes
- Informing and educating citizens about the problem of corruption in local communities, harmful consequences of corruptive behavior and combat mechanisms against corruption and preventing forms of corruption in local communities;
- Public awareness campaigns on the importance of the fight against corruption and for encouraging the reporting of cases of corruption, with emphasis on the area of special risk, as defined by the Operational Document for the Prevention of Corruption in areas of special risk, which is part of the Action Plan for Chapter 23 (Judiciary and fundamental rights);
- Providing legal and advisory assistance to citizens to report corruption at the local level level, monitoring reported cases, as well as encouraging reporting corruption to the authorities institutions without fear of consequences;
- Analysis of the results of the implementation of available mechanisms at the local level for preventing and fight against corruption (action plans for the fight against corruption, integrity plans, and Dr.) and advocacy proposals that are in line with EU standards and best practices, mapping the focus of corruption in local government and publicly advocating solutions for improving existing mechanisms;
- Conducting advocacy advocacy initiatives aimed at transparency and accountability unit of local self-government;
- Monitoring the manner and quality of the provision of services by local governments or those services of relevance to citizens, assessment of susceptibility to corruption, with accent on various forms of violation of the principle of transparency and accountability in work;
- Research and publication of identified cases of corruption in local self-governments, factual case analysis.
Eligibility Criteria
- CSOs who fulfill the following criteria have the right to participate in this competition:
- have the status of a legal entity;
- they are non-profit type;
- they are registered in Montenegro at least 12 months before the deadline for submitting the proposal project;
- have their seat in Montenegro;
- they are directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project, with a partner (if they are planned by the project), rather than acting as intermediaries;
- that the annual budget is over € 10,000, if only one is eligible for the project applicant. If the project is competing with the leading applicant and partner, their annual income for 2017 should be cumulatively greater than 10,000 € (for example, the annual budget the leading applicant can be € 6,000 and the partner € 5,000);
- Individuals, political parties, international and foreign organizations, government institutions, religious people communities do not have the right to participate in this competition.
