The U.S. Department of State’s Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is currently seeking proposals for its program titled “Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Research Centers: Special Interest Project Competitive Supplements”.
This RFA will provide supplemental funding to Prevention Research Centers (PRCs) to design, test, and disseminate effective applied public health prevention research strategies to include behavioral interventions, environmental or system-wide solutions, and strategies that address major causes of disease and disability. Research strategies align with public health priorities such as the Healthy People 2020 topic areas: Arthritis; Cancer; HIV/STD and Sexual Health; and School-based Health.
Funds Available
The CDC intends to commit a total of approximately $3,914,800 (direct and indirect) for the entire project period.
