The Coastal Community Foundation is requesting applications for its Charles-Webb Ed Croft Endowment Fund to improve the lives of children with special needs in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties.
Categories
- Education – Related to the process of teaching, learning, and acquiring skills.
- Economic Mobility -The ability to secure safe and affordable housing, gain access to capital to start or expand a small business, or compete for jobs with higher wages.
- Coastal Resilience- Ensuring their most vulnerable communities have the resources needed to prepare for and recover from naturally occurring disasters.
- Culture & Inclusion/Social Justice – focus on culture, access, and inclusion that promotes racial understanding and healing.
- Health & Well-Being – Addressing health disparities and encouraging positive lifestyle changes creates opportunities for all to experience sustained wellness.

- Average award: up to $10,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties serving children with special needs.
Application Requirements
- Multiple applicants from an organization need to work together on a request.
- An applicant needs someone else to upload a document, fill out certain questions, or sign off on their request (e.g. a fiscal sponsor, executive director).
- An applicant needs an efficient way for someone else to view and (in some cases) submit their request.
- An organization works with a grant writer.
- An organization has a new staff member who would like to submit a request.
