CFAs: The International Foundation Grant Program (United States)

The International Foundation is seeking grant applications to support the specific types of programs, in specific geographic regions, that they believe address the most pressing needs in the world today.

Focus Areas

Eligible organizations must have demonstrated experience in delivering measurable, impactful programs in at least one of the following focus areas:
- Agriculture
- Education
- Environment
- Health

Geographic Scope

Organizations must be based in the United States and operate programs that serve communities in low- and middle-income countries, primarily in:
- ‍Latin American & The Caribbean
- Africa
- South & Southeast Asia & Pacific

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for funding, organizations must:
- Be headquartered in the United States
- Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonproft
- Be guided by a clear strategic plan with a proven theory of change and sound execution plans
- Deliver social impact results that are measurable and that have broad and lasting impact
- Posses a deep contextual knowledge of the communities and regions being served
- Set clear quantifiable goals for the grant-funded work and report on the progress
- Implement scalable, sustainable programs that are not dependant on long-term external support
- Actively collaborate with local partners (e.g., community-based, governmental, or non-governmental) to enhance program effectiveness and sustainability
Returning Applicants:
- Organizations that have previously received funding from The International Foundation must receive official confirmation that a prior grant has been successfully closed before applying again. This includes submission and approval of an end of project report and a complete financial summary.
