The National AIDS and Health Promotion Agency (NAHPA) invites Civil Society Organisations registered with the Registrar of Societies and/or CIPA to apply for funding to coordinate Sub-grantees for the implementation of HIV and NCD prevention services for the financial year 2025/26.
Scope of Work
- Cluster 1: Key and Vulnerable Populations (Persons with Disability, FSW, MSM, LGBTQI+, PWID) Human Rights (Stigma reduction, Monitoring Rights Violations as well as CLM), Condom Distribution, HIV Testing)
- Cluster 2: Adolescents & Young People (AGYW & ABYM as well as in and out of school) Human Rights (Stigma reduction, Monitoring Rights Violations as well as CLM) Condom Distribution, HIV Testing and Commemoration on World AIDS Day)
- Cluster 3: People living with HIV (PLHIV, HIV+ pregnant & breastfeeding women) Human Rights (Stigma reduction, Monitoring Rights Violations as well as CLM) Condom Distribution, HIV Testing and Commemoration on Candle Light Memorial)
- Cluster 4: Men Sector and Faith Based Organizations (including ng young men 25 years+) Human Rights (Stigma reduction, Monitoring Rights Violations & GBV as well as CLM) Condom Distribution, HIV Testing and Commemoration on Month of Prayer)
- Cluster 5: General Population on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) (Health Promotion on Prevention and early detection of NCDs)
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for funding, the applicant shall meet the following criteria:
- Legally registered as a Non-Governmental Organization, Community Based Organization, Trust or Society in Botswana
- Registered as a non-profit making entity
- Must have handled funding of One Million Pula or more in the past 3 years
- Audited financial statements in the past 3 years
- Must demonstrate strong financial management capacity including the ability to manage donor funds prudently.
- Prior experience working with government agencies or international donors in the management of grants
- Declaration of other sources of funds in respect of the project which is being applied for.
- Propose a list of sub-grantees and demonstrate how they will be managed to execute the project;
- Contract sub-grantees that have working relationship with the community and the District Multi-Sectoral AIDS Committee (DMSAC).
