Deadline: 15-Jul-25
The Public Affairs Section of an international diplomatic mission in the Philippines is now inviting proposals for its Annual Program Statement. This opportunity supports initiatives that contribute to strategic, cultural, and diplomatic goals between two long-standing partner nations.
Priority will be given to proposals that align with key thematic areas. These include commemorating landmark anniversaries in the bilateral relationship, such as the upcoming 80th year of diplomatic ties and the 75th anniversary of a historic defense treaty. Projects that aim to bolster security cooperation—such as promoting maritime law, addressing illegal activities at sea, or advocating for peaceful dispute resolution—are strongly encouraged.
Proposals that deepen mutual economic prosperity and strengthen commercial ties are also of particular interest. In addition, programs that build a free and open regional order by fostering collaborations among the Philippines, the United States, and other Indo-Pacific countries are welcome. Initiatives that celebrate individuals who have made notable contributions to this important bilateral relationship—both historically and in contemporary society—are also eligible.
Funding support will range from $20,000 to $40,000 per award, and projects should be completed within a 12-month period. The initiative targets a broad and diverse audience, including members of the media, policy institutions, cultural and educational leaders, youth changemakers, and academic communities.
Applicants from both the Philippines and the United States are encouraged to submit proposals. However, commercial and for-profit entities are not eligible. Additionally, funding will not be provided for activities such as partisan political events, humanitarian aid, religious programs, lobbying efforts, or scientific research. This grant is strictly designed to promote mutual understanding and public engagement through targeted programming that aligns with strategic priorities.
