Outcomes
- To accelerate progress towards Sustainable Development Goals; SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), WFP will continue to contribute to strengthening the capacity of national systems and institutions. The current CSP aims to achieve three key outcomes:
- Crisis-affected populations in Egypt, including refugees, meet their essential food and nutrition needs and have enhanced self-reliance all year round.
- Targeted groups in Egypt benefit from more resilient, sustainable, and climate-adaptive livelihoods and food systems by 2028.
- The Government of Egypt has enhanced capacity, programmes and systems ensuring populations in vulnerable situations benefit from improved access to and quality of food, nutrition, health, and education services by 2028. In alignment with these goals, WFP invites reputable and qualified Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to participate in the Call for Proposal to support in the implementation of the following activities in Assiut Governorate for a duration of three years:
- School-based Activities
- Women’s Economic Empowerment and Livelihoods
- Nutrition Programme
- Capacity strengthening for Local Administrative Units
- Youth Employment
Eligibility Criteria
- Partner Eligibility Criteria:
- Criteria-1: The NGO must be legally registered as a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political organization in Egypt
- Criteria-2: The resources received under the FLA must not be used to provide support to terrorist entities or individuals. All FLA agreements must include evidence that the partner or any of its affiliates and subcontractors has been checked against the UN Security Council sanctions list.
- Criteria-3: Sufficient programmatic experience to implement the activities professionally, consistent with applicable industry standards and a proven track record in Assiut Governorate/or similar type of implementation over the last five years.
- Criteria-4: Sufficient capacity and experience in project and financial management to comply with WFP’s financial and programmatic reporting requirements.
- Criteria-5: Sufficient capacity to rightly manage, store and distribute beneficiary entitlements.
