Concern Worldwide: Call for Proposals for RAPID Fund

Concern Worldwide is seeking proposals for its RAPID Fund to fund humanitarian organizations to implement short-term relief/early recovery projects for the returnees to Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Temporarily Dislocated Persons (TDPs) residing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Concern RAPID Fund aims to complement the efforts of the Government of Pakistan towards relief and recovery assistance to affected populations.

Concern Worldwide is an international humanitarian organization working in Pakistan since 2001. Concern is implementing the RAPID Fund with the support of the United States Agency for International Development’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID-OFDA). RAPID Fund is a mechanism that seeks to address the urgent relief and early recovery needs of disaster-affected populations in Pakistan by awarding sub-grants to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in close coordination with respective authorities and clusters.

Eligibility Criteria

Applications will be accepted from national and international NGOs that meet the following requirements:
- Registered and/or legally permitted to work in the country by the Government of Pakistan.
- Organizations that have at least two years of previous experience in humanitarian work and that have completed an external audit.
- Applicant organizations must have a presence and previous working experience in the proposed or adjoining area.
- Facilitation letter/evidence of coordination for proposed interventions from the relevant authorities depending on the proposed target area.
The RAPID Fund supports the following types of relief and recovery projects:
- Interventions up to three months in duration, in order to meet immediate relief and early recovery needs; for the potential applications, RF will negotiate the duration of the project to incorporate the time required to receive a project No objection Certificate (NoC).
- Interventions ranging from minimum PKR 500,000 (US$ 5,000) and maximum PKR 30,000,000 (US$ 300,000); and
- Interventions that meet humanitarian needs in areas declared by the FATA/Provincial Disaster Management Authority and TDP Secretariat as being severely affected by any crises.
