The Consulate General of France in Jerusalem has launched a call for proposals to support and encourage civil society initiatives.
The funds aim to help the most vulnerable populations. Populations living in Gaza, East Jerusalem and Area C will be considered with particular attention. This is also the case for areas near settlements as well as refugee camps.
Characteristics
Project proposals with the following characteristics will be preferred by the Consulate General of France:
- The project must serve in the first place the interests and needs of the target populations.
- Projects promoting synergies and collaboration between civil society actors will be favored.
- The project must be viable and sustainable in the medium term (monitoring and evaluation system, exit strategy, etc.).
Funding Information
- The duration of the project must be between 6 months and 1 year.
- The amount requested must be between 10,000 and 50,000 Euros.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only civil society organizations officially registered with the authorities (associations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community organizations, network of organizations, etc.) can submit an application.
- Institutional and governmental bodies are not eligible (universities, municipalities, etc.).
Selection Criteria
Projects will be selected according to the following criteria:
- Quality of the proposal (respect of the format, writing, details)
- Relevance of the project and proposed activities (identification of needs, response to needs by the activities, feasibility of the project, etc …).
- Selection of beneficiaries (number of beneficiaries, involvement of beneficiaries in the project, selection process and criteria).
- Quality and relevance of the proposed budget.
- Experience and capabilities of the partner.
- Visibility
- Innovative character of the proposed project.
- Monitoring and evaluation system proposed.
